Yosemite Maternity Photos | A Stunning Sunrise Session in Yosemite Valley
Last spring, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the sweetest Yosemite maternity photos during a sunrise session in the Yosemite Valley. Seriously, this session was a total dream, and I can’t wait to share all the fun details!!
We kicked things off bright and early at Tunnel View around 7AM, right before the sun peeked over Half Dome. Let me tell you - the sunrise in Yosemite is pure magic!! As a Yosemite family and maternity photographer, Tunnel View is one of my favorite spots for sunrise! The light was soft and golden, the air was crisp, and the whole valley felt like it was waking up. Seriously, this needs to be on your bucket list when you visit Yosemite National Park! My mama-to-be client was absolutely glowing, and her adorable parents came along for the session too! They were snapping photos on their phones the entire time as we made our way from Tunnel View, to Swinging Bridge and El Capitan Meadow, which was so cute. I love when family gets involved because it makes the experience feel even more special!
Best Locations for Yosemite MATERNITY Photos in Yosemite Valley
As the sun rose higher, we headed down into Yosemite Valley to explore some of my favorite spots. Our next stop? Swinging Bridge! This spot is so gorgeous with its open views and reflections in the water, and it’s such a great place for those dreamy, natural moments for maternity yosemite photos, or even a Yosemite Valley ceremony! After capturing some stunning shots there, we made our way to El Cap Meadow. This location never fails to take my breath away - towering cliffs, lush greenery, and the peaceful meadows!It’s the perfect place to highlight the beauty of pregnancy against Yosemite’s backdrop.
We wrapped up the session at Yosemite Valley Viewpoint, which always delivers those wow factor shots. Throughout the session, I shared all kinds of fun facts about Yosemite (did you know it’s home to over 400 species of vertebrates?!), and the mom-to-be’s mother was the absolute sweetest. She told me it felt like she’d gotten a private tour of Yosemite Valley, which totally warmed my heart!
