The Pines Resort is the stand-alone lakeside resort near Yosemite and the perfect cozy, mountain getaway. For your stay, you can choose from lakefront suites or private chalets, enjoy elevated dining at Ducey’s on the Lake, and take advantage of all the fun outdoor activities. You can relax in the seasonal swimming pool and hot tub, and stroll along the private beach. You won’t get bored here!
I love that it is also truly a community within itself! There’s a grocery store, a pizza parlor, a bar, a gas station, etc. You won’t feel like you have any reason to leave!
On top of that, be sure to catch one of their many fun events - from kid-friendly events, to comedy shows for adults, you won’t want to miss out!
Accommodations at the pines resort
The variety in accommodations at the Pines Resort is one of many reasons to love it here! Choose from more private chalets, convenient waterfront suites, or cabins that are perfect for large groups. Here’s an overview of the different options to choose from!
I stayed in there 2 story cabin that faces the lake and it was beautiful! It has 3 beds, a full size kitchen, a patio that faces the lake with a table outside and its the perfect cabin for a small family or a couple!
CHALETS
The mountain chalets offer more privacy sitting amongst the trees, and have a beautiful view from the deck. The two-story cabins range in size from 620-700 square feet, with both one and two-bedroom options. You can enjoy a cozy living room with a fireplace for the chillier months, and a fully equipped kitchen if you’d rather dine in. We loved our stay in a chalet with a gorgeous lake view, and we already can’t wait to go back!
LAKESIDE SUITES
The suites give you unobstructed, stunning views of the lake and the convenience of walking right down to the beach. These are split-level and include king beds and a full bathroom, plus a cozy fireplace! These are smaller and perfect for couples or a small family. Plus they are situated directly beside Ducey’s for an easy dining option!
LARGE CABINS
These larger cabins are fully-furnished and perfect for those large family gatherings or other fun group events. They offer more of a private feel, and each cabin has it’s own unique charm. They can host up to 14 guests, and feature some really gorgeous views of the lake!

You will never be bored staying here! Whether you take advantage of the private beach and take a swim, let the kids enjoy the playground, or head over to the tennis courts, you have a wide variety of things to choose from! There’s also a beautiful pool with lake views to soak up the sun and just relax. And that’s just on site! There are also plenty of hiking trails, fishing, watersports and so much more to do in the area.
There’s always a fun event going on at the Pines Resort! In the summer, you can enjoy live music and fireworks, an arts and craft fair, comedy shows, kids events like “Touch a Truck", and more. Be sure to check out their calendar to see what event is coming up next that you won’t want to miss!

Ducey’s is definitely the highlight of staying at the Pines Resort! It gives you an elevated dining experience, and has the most perfect peaceful atmosphere sitting right on the lake. The food is absolutely incredible, which you can enjoy throughout the day, as they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Having this as a dining option adds so much to your stay!
Visiting yosemite
Although The Pines Resort has everything you’d need for an incredible stay, on top of that, if you want to visit Yosemite National Park it’s only about a 20 minute drive into the park! Bass Lake is a perfect option for a stay if you’re wanting to head to Yosemite, as it just adds more to your adventure. There’s so much to explore here and the convenience of the drive makes it even more ideal!
